My Story
I spent my first thirty years growing up in Tasmania, blessed with opportunities to explore its whitewater and wilderness alongside people who are now my oldest friends. I also pursued my sporting ambitions, winning national titles and representing Australia in slalom canoeing at four World Championships.
My second thirty years were very different; living in London with my wife Sheena, raising four daughters, and building a career as a sport psychologist and executive coach. I’ve worked with Olympic medallists, business leaders and their organisations to help them excel.
Now in my third third of life, I focus on work that matters in these extraordinary times:
-
Supervising new and experienced executive coaches
-
Developing a new generation of leaders who can serve as custodians for people and our planet
-
Guiding senior leaders to navigate complexity and find purpose through their work
-
Helping people explore life's big questions of meaning, purpose and faith
-
Writing about leadership, psychology, and ecology
I work independently and also deliver organisational leadership and team development programmes with the company I co-founded, Mezzana Partners.
I am an Accredited Master Executive and Team Coach (APECS) and trained as a coach supervisor at Oxford Brookes University. I hold a PhD in sport science (psychology), and I am an HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist.

Who do I work with?
I work with people who are facing complex and difficult challenges in their professional or personal lives.
Who want to learn, grow and contribute.
Who have gifts the world needs - or want to discover what these are.
